Name: Minami-hayama Solo
Designer: Yuji Nakae
Location: Yokosuka, Japan
Minami-hayama Solo is a minimal home located in Kanagawa, Japan, designed by Yuji Nakae. The residence in constructed of reinforced concrete and wood. The site that the house sits on has a triangular shape. The lower level has one bedroom and bathroom, while the upper levels hold the living room. The floor plan is completely open with panoramic views from any side.
This is definitely one of those homes where, if you drive past it on the road, you would be wishing to yourself that you lived there. There are not enough words to describe how much I love the panoramic windows, especially with the view of traditional Japanese architecture and the pacific ocean as its backdrop. What do you guys think?
