Omihachiman House is a minimal home located in Shiga, Japan, designed by ALTS Design Office. This space is divided into smaller subsections through the use of the central stairwell. The interior is warm and cozy, converse to the typically cold and stark interiors of many Japanese homes. The rooms are all openly connected, yet the way in which they are separated, such as the train room for example, provides each space with ample privacy and seclusion. (3)
