Name: Outotunoie House
Designer: mA-style Architects
Location: Shuzuoka, Japan
Outotunoie House is a minimal home located in Shuzuoka, Japan, and designed by mA-style Architects. Two monolithic blocks are spaced apart to create a parking area underneath the residence. The blocks also contain the staircase, private bedrooms, washrooms, and kitchen. The glass bridge contains the living area, with sweeping views front and back.
At first, I thought I was looking at a home for the God of Thunder or something. Then I remembered that most minimalist Japanese architecture look like divine pieces of artwork. However, this is exactly why I love writing about design so much – there is always something superbly unique or interesting to uncover. I like how the living area is exposed, and the bedrooms and kitchen are tucked away.
