There is a clear dichotomy between the ground floor and private upper floors. The contrast is delineated by the material choices that were used. The upper level is composed of a solid wooden profile, while the ground floor is completely transparent. The enveloping wood also serves a functional purpose in that it conducts less heat during the summer season. The wooden panels also open up conveniently to allow for ample natural light and fresh air.
