Renovation in Kamakura is a minimalist home located in Kanagawa, Japan, and designed by Koh Kitayama + architecture WORKSHOP. The renovation is of a mixed-use building between a music hall and a shared house. Interestingly enough, this is a renovation on the same project architecture WORKSHOP designed on in 2008.

The ground floor originally had concrete walls which are now completely replaced by glass. The only elements that were maintained were the wooden columns that support the upper level. Since the walls were removed, the architects gave the music room enough space to allow for ample seating.
