SHAREyaraicho is a minimalist apartment located in Tokyo, Japan, designed by Satoko Shinohara / Spatial Design Studio + Ayano Uchimura / A Studio. The three storey apartment consists of seven bedrooms and multiple common rooms. The facade of the building is nothing more but a thin sheet of transparent plastic. The ground floor workspace can be entered by unzipping the plastic sheet. via
Interestingly enough, some of the furnishings and handiwork seen around the space are manufactured straight from within the home’s workshop. Aside from tents and the occasional treehouse, I have never seen a full-scale residential building use plastic material as their facade. This is by far one of the most unique buildings I have ever seen. What do you guys this of this?
