TA-House is a minimalist home located in Nishinomiya, Japan, designed by Katsufumi Kubota + Kenji Nawa. The site is situated on a hill set back from the main road. With the home facing Southward, the open living room overlooks a panorama of the city and the Seto Inland Sea off in the horizon.

The original design was conceived origamically using paper folds on a white sheet. The ground floor contains the living quarters, study, and garage, while the upper floors accomodate the living room, kitchen and dining area. A spiral staircase separates these two levels. I love the juxtaposition of stark white and concrete – especially how the home sits on a concrete foundation.

My two passions in life are entrepreneurship and design. I started Leibal as a hobby while I was still studying in college, and it has transformed into a business I could have never imagined.
