Location: Fukuoka, Japan

U3 House is a minimal home located in Fukuoka, Japan, designed by Architect Show. Located in a dense neighborhood, the exterior of the home is composed of an angled dark walnut base that contrasts with the upper floor’s white cubic form. The entrance leads toward an open living room that connects with the kitchen and dining room.

Warm wooden furniture and floors are used to compliment that walnut facade. A vertical well was included in order to flood the interior with ample natural lighting. There is also a glass wall beside this skylight to further permeate the home with additional brightness. There are sliding doors adjacent to the dining area that allows the residents to access a small courtyard.
