Architect Lanfranco Pollini has designed a minimalist house wrapped in corten steel in the town of Lignano Pineta, Italy.
The marriage of both steel and stark white plaster is what I find compelling. Even more, Pollini has done a masterful job with the pool. The glass wall at the deck acts as a light source, window of security and a picture frame able to capture the graceful act of swimming one moment at a time. I’d be interested to view the house in a few years and observe the weathering of the steel over that period.
