I have only recently gotten to know the lighting company Danese, and I am in love. Their products are way ahead of its time, and the light that really caught my eye was the 100% Task Lamp, designed by Ross Lovegrove.
If anyone has ever seen the guy’s TED talk – the man is egomaniacal, arrogant, and unrestrained. “Captain Organic,” his nickname due to his love of organic forms, is also brilliant when it comes to design. Instead of following every electronics product on the market, Lovegrove decided to expose the copper circuit board on the outside arm of the lamp. This out-of-the-ordinary thinking is risky, but necessary when it comes to the progression of modern design. The lamp is made of aluminum sheet metal with touch-sensitive lighting preferences.
one can control the intensity of the lamp via an embedded sensor. the LED, electronic components
and touch dimmers can work only from the kapton circuit, with LED angle calculations dictating
the inclination of the light’s head.
