This isn’t the first time I’ve written about Metaphys. A few weeks ago, I posted the Factory Planter, and today, I’m going to talk about Corda.
I’m always excited to see something individual and unique – but the bonus of a good design and minimalism just puts my mind at absolute ease. This pen, for example, is unbelievably simple in both its function and form. However, its unordinary shape provokes a sentiment of curiosity and playfulness. As often as I sketch, I feel as though having one of these near me would make me want to sketch even more. Sometimes I just don’t feel like reaching my arm to pick up a pen from a flat surface, seriously.
Like a line drawn in the air, or a string dropped from above. The unfamiliar appearance of the pen and pen stand, unified into one continuous shape, evoke a strange but comforting sensation.
