Desktop Chair is a minimalist design created by Japan-based designer Atelier MOKU. This is their first project, and it was released onto Campfire, Japan’s version of Kickstarter. The stand is completely handmade using fine natural basswood. The stand essentially turns the Macbook into a desktop machine with an external display.

The stand fits all versions of the Macbook, and comes with a cushion pad and an anti-slip button. It is definitely an elegant way to store the Macbook while connected with an external monitor. It saves a significant amount of space by leaning the laptop upright – perfect for those of us in NYC who live in shoebox size’d homes.
