DuraPulp Lamp by Claesson Koivisto Rune

Posted on June 22nd, 2010 by

This fixture was introduced during the Milan Design Week of 2010 and is made of DuraPulp, which is paper. I found this revolutionary when I first read it back in April, and I still find it revolutionary as I am writing this post.

Wästberg, and the designers of Claesson Koivisto Rune, managed to produce a light that infuses biodegradable paper with electricity. Imagine all of the objects that could made with this material.

Paper has been used throughout history for making lamp shades. Now we are using paper for the actual structure of the fixture adding advanced LED technology.
