Enkaja is a minimal design created by Ireland-based designers Tatabi Studios. The concept of this design is to basically allow amateur mixologists create drinks using the simple process of separating common cocktail components in three categories: ”bases,” “spirits,” and “touches.” Each of the components are stored inside a cylindrical container with a plug and seal on top. When the containers are connected, the seal breaks and the materials mix together.
The design comes along with a guidebook so that making drinks becomes as easy as throwing food in the microwave. Although mixing drinks using traditional methods should never be lost or replaced, Enkaja is a good medium for those just starting out, and want training wheels before moving onto the higher playing fields. The designers stated that they wanted a design that would motivate people to explore and experiment with mixed drinks.
