I’m perplexed as to why I have not come across this elegant fire extinguisher until now. Fire extinguishers, notorious for their conspicuous and obnoxious design/color, are not typical for their aesthetics, but for their function. I’ve never actually used a fire extinguisher before, but the handles look hard to squeeze, and manipulation of the bottle seems laborious. Of course, if my house were to combust right now, the ugly sob could mean the difference between comfortable and homeless.
Homehero, designed by Jonas Damon as a part of Arnell Group, is a fire extinguisher that has an aesthetic that exceeds most other products’ designs whose sole purpose is to look good. This is like the ‘Apple’ of fire extinguishers, and it’s only $30 at Home Depot. Damon has employed all of my favorite design elements into this one product. Not only are my favorite combination of colors used, but the rubber/plastic grip, sleek curves, and miniscule type all make me want to stare at this thing forever.
