Hook by Line Depping

Hook is a minimalist design created by Denmark-based designer Line Depping. She has a very specific technique for designing her products: she lets function dictate form. She likes to work with wood, in the case of Hook, she used pre-compressed steam-bent ash wood. (4)

Once again, I’m speechless by how such a simple aesthetic can be more impactful to me than all of the overly-exaggerated and embellished designs most other people consider beautiful. The soft curves, light wood, and clear function just unleashes my desire to uncover more of these pure and minimalist designs.
