Ever since their founding in 2006, pulpo has designed beautiful and distinguishable furniture, lighting and accessories, all while having fun doing it. Pulpo’s in-house team and contracted designers like Button Down creators, Sandra Tan and Johannes Schiebe of Studio Taschide, produce amazing products that are one of a kind.

Button Down is a steel floor lamp inspired by the construction of a formal button down shirt. This design takes the traditional frame of a shaded lamp and brings it into the year 2012. Button Down’s thin stand is made of powder-coated steel while the shade is made of a thin, yet strong rounded steel.

Available in classic black or white colors, Button Down is a clean tried and true design that’s been given a cool, modern update.

I was used to being around his closest contractor buddies and making the usual Home Depot trips with him on the weekends. So, instead of becoming a designer (or even an architect), editing and following design trends became my passion.
