Name: Interaction Lamp
Designer: Paul Menand
Location: France
Interaction Lamp is a minimal design created by France-based designer Paul Menand. Born of reflection on the dematerialization made possible by new LED light sources, this lamp uses a minimalist lamp shade to wrap the LED lights. Its design is reduced to the tubular structure that once supported the lampshade. Doing so, the lamp opens a new set of perspectives.
The lamp can be crossed by other objects – a vase, a plant, a statuette – all of which affect the intensity of the light source it is capturing. The design is in limited production, with only 12 copies available and one prototype.
