Coordination is an architecture and design firm that is driven by the quest for fresh, modern and unique ideas. Their passion for design shows through their strategic thinking and extradorinary design solutions. They have designed interiors and architecture for leading global brands such as Nike, Deutsche Bank, and Ninetindo. They also run an in-house product design studio, where Patches was born.

Patches is a design that brings beautiful aesthetics and supreme userabliltiy into a modern piece. It is a suspension light built for residential and commercial spaces that uses a special textile as a diffuser. Small magnets are incorporated into the fabric, which holds the textile tightly to the lamp’s metal foundation.

Patches’ fabric is washable, easy to exchange and can be reused over and over again. This highly functional feature paired with an artistic design that recalls airy clouds make Patches a unique and stunning lamp that keeps us looking towards the future.

About the Author – Kyle Troutman

I was used to being around his closest contractor buddies and making the usual Home Depot trips with him on the weekends. So, instead of becoming a designer (or even an architect), editing and following design trends became my passion. I’ve worked at Country Living magazine, founded and edited a men’s magazine at my college, and now work in design PR.
