Sero by Nick Sheridan

Posted on July 19th, 2012 by

Sero is a minimalist lighting fixture designed by American-based designer Nick Sheridan for Cerno. The light can come in either brushed aluminum or black anodized aluminum. The lighting source is an energy efficient LED - fully dimmable with no flicker. The designers wanted a project in which they could exercise restraint and simplicity. After all unnecessary elements were stripped away, the flower-like head was the only thing left. (1)

I love the slender and unobtrusive nature of this light. If this light were to be any more minimalist, it would only be a wire and a light bulb. I also appreciate the material choices  used to reflect the cleanliness and purity of the design. In particular, the black anodized aluminum is incredibly sleek.
