Tube Lamp by Doreen Westphal Studio

Tube Lamp is a minimalist design created by Netherlands-based designer Doreen Westphal Studio. Westphal was born in East Germany, and has a holistic passion for design an all of its processes. She believes that, as a designer, one must be the conductor of a product’s entire production process. (3)

Tube Lamp is a minimalist design created by Netherlands-based designer Doreen Westphal Studio. Westphal was born in East Germany, and has a holistic passion for design an all of its processes. She believes that, as a designer, one must be the conductor of a product’s entire production process.

The lamp has a structural base made of delicately poured concrete. The concrete is embedded with magnets in order to support the frame of the lamp. The ultra high-quality performance concrete is called Quantz. I love how you can adjust the angle of the lamp by magnetically attaching the tube to the concrete.
