Moiré Mirror is a minimalist design created by Netherlands-based designer Hayo Gebauer. The Moiré Mirror is both: reflector and lightsource. Hidden behind the one-way-mirror is a lamp, which becomes visible, once you grab a second disc hidden behind the glass, which can be rotated. The backside of the mirror and the second disc have a lightproof pattern added to them, which darken the mirror in a certain position. With this approach of overlaying it is not only possible to shade the light, but also to control the optical effect, which occurs once you rotate the two patterns, and the amount of light, which travels through the mirror.
