Tubulor Grande is a minimal design created by Osaka-based designer Ichiro Haba of Ideaco. The waste bin recently won the prestigious red dot design award of 2012. The design is both aesthetically beautiful and ingeniously functional. Separated into two parts, the waste basket is composed of the bin itself, and a cover that hides any trash bags fitted over the bin.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Haba in person a few days ago, and he presented the Tubulor Grande to me in person. I immediately fell in love with the product’s simplicity, elegance, and of course, minimalist design. The cover is made of polypropylene, and comes in a variety of colors including white, charcoal, beige, and mocha.
