Silent Machine is a minimalist design collection created by Sweden-based designer Eunjae Lee. The collection is a tea service set with a heavy focus on functional forms. The aesthetics of these cylinders reflect industrial-like components such as screws, washers, nuts, and bolts.

“The aim of this study was to draw out recast values induced from the passing of time and transitions, and to refigure them under the present sentiment.”

The forms on these pieces are heavy-set, and give off a mechanical-like appearance. The color choices, materials, and designs all reflect the designer’s initial interpretation of producing items which identify themselves as ‘function over form.’

About the Author – Leo Lei

My two passions in life are entrepreneurship and design. I started Leibal as a hobby while I was still studying in college, and it has transformed into a business I could have never imagined. Within design, I love all things minimal. Our focus is to promote as many designers to as many people as possible.
