Stylo by Nendo

Posted on September 9th, 2012 by

Stylo is a minimalist design created by Japan-based designer Nendo. This Bluetooth headset was created by cutting off short pieces of aluminum tubing for the housing. A portion of the headset's mechanism is housed within the tubing - like an ink cartridge within a pen. Also similar to a pen, the headset has a small clip that allows the user to attach the device to the breast pocket when not in use. (5)

Stylo is a minimalist design created by Japan-based designer Nendo. This Bluetooth headset was created by cutting off short pieces of aluminum tubing for the housing. A portion of the headset’s mechanism is housed within the tubing – like an ink cartridge within a pen. Also similar to a pen, the headset has a small clip that allows the user to attach the device to the breast pocket when not in use.

The headset is finished in alumite in order to preserve the inherent pulchritude of the metal. The alumite shows wears and tears purposefully on its surface, and eventually transmutes into its most natural color. Nendo never ceases to impress me with how quickly they can push out new designs. What do you guys think of Stylo?
