Surface Matters by Eunhee Jo

Surface Matters is a minimalist design created by South Korea-based designer Eunhee Jo. The design is a sound system with a tactile control interface. Basic controls are lit up underneath the speaker's fabric overlay. Gestures are used to manipulate volume, equalizer, and changing tracks. The face panel is also interchangeable to allow for a multitude of color options. There are even several material options such as wood. (1)

The program is now in its sixth year and is a core part of the exhibition demonstrating the Design Museum’s commitment to support and encourage new design talent.
