Little Thumb is a minimalist design created by Sweden-based designer Elena Biondi for The Tomorrow Collective. In the past, bread used to be kept as much as possible, or otherwise stale bread would be used for creating crumbs for various recipes. Nowadays these traditional recipes, that once served the purpose of avoiding waste, are cooked with store bought crumbs already made, contained in nonsense packaging. In this product every part of the bread is saved. It is possible to collect the bread crumbs from chopping the fresh bread or grate the stale bread using a metal grater. The resulting crumbs can be kept in a jar, creating a mixture with other ingredients and used for cooking, lasting months.
