Tray is a minimal tray created by Japan-based designer Kazushige Miyake. At first glance, it appears to be a lump of stone, but when you place an item on this curious tray, the part of the tray on which it is placed sinks in. The tray is constructed of silicon with a stone-like texture. Having items slightly sink allow them to stay in place, versus an item placed on a flat surface, which can be easily knocked off.
