Name: Units of Time

Designer: René Schwolow

Location: Weimar, Germany

Units of Time is a minimal clock designed by German-based designer René Schwolow. The clock is divided into three parts, each showing a different format of the time (hours, minutes, seconds). The hands of the clock continuously appear and disappear behind the block signifying time’s transience. The clock is made of powder-coated aluminum.

I happen to like clocks that are inconspicuous or appear to look nothing like what they are supposed to be. Units of  Time is something that could be interpreted in a number of ways, be it a sculpture or abstract art. I love how the time formats are separated into their own blocks. Minimal home owners, this one is definitely for you. What do you guys think?
