Cooperage is a minimalist collection of furniture pieces designed by Brooklyn-based studio Fort Standard. The collection consists of a rectangular dining table, a round dining table, stools, and a dining chair. Each piece features large faceted round elements that, with its namesake, reference the traditional cooper’s trade of making barrels. The pieces consist of a bold palette of contrasting light and dark wood, which is natural white oak with darker, torrefied oak. Every board has a consistent 3″ width, creating a strong visual thread throughout each piece. Also available in solid hardwoods and custom sizes.
