Appartement Avenue F is a minimalist apartment located in Beijing, China, designed by BW Timeless. This top-floor loft apartment was once a maze of small rooms and dark corridors, with high ceilings and roof windows obscured by previous renovations. The apartment has undergone a complete transformation, focusing on simplicity and spaciousness. The redesign emphasizes natural light, materials, and proportions. The space now features high white plaster ceilings and walls, with simple surfaces in pale, neutral tones. Timber wall elements guide movement through the apartment, tailored to different areas such as the kitchen, shelving, and dressing spaces, enhancing the architectural volumes. Organic shapes have been introduced in the custom-made sculptural staircase and the living room ceiling, adding a softer touch to the otherwise geometric structure. Natural light filters through semi-transparent shades, while architectural lighting highlights the dramatic structural frame and the textures of natural materials.
