Galileo is a minimal series of lamps created by Copenhagen-based designer Edoardo Lietti. Hailing from Florence, Lietti’s roots in the city’s rich history of craftsmanship and design deeply influence his work. The studio’s mission is to create furniture and objects that endure over time, seamlessly integrating Italian classics with modern aesthetics. Each piece is designed to be both a work of art and a functional item for daily use, embodying a philosophy of longevity and practicality. Driven by a passion for applied arts and a commitment to using honest materials, the studio’s designs often feature modular systems and flexible forms.

This approach combines a deep understanding of material technology with a playful nod to historical inventions, resulting in pieces that are both innovative and timeless. All products are self-manufactured and hand-finished, ensuring meticulous attention to detail. The studio emphasizes sustainable practices, optimizing manufacturing processes to minimize waste and utilizing natural materials. One notable collection, the Galileo series, draws inspiration from the renowned scientist Galileo Galilei. The lamps in this series feature clean geometric shapes and simple materials, centered around an adjustable hemisphere. The Galileo lamps are available in three versions: two table lamps (2.0 and 2.2) and a floor lamp (2.3), each designed to offer both aesthetic appeal and practical lighting solutions.
