Haspali Spa is a minimalist space located in Okayama, Japan, designed by Three.Ball.Cascade.Architects. The name of the facility derives from the Japanese word “hasu,” which means lotus. The design condition was to place four individual rooms in a small 90㎡ space. By comparing the rooms to a lotus, the architects attempted to make the programs in an open context despite it’s small space. In addition, the walls are divided into four layers and each layer is staggered and joined by points.
