Cut House is a minimalist residence located in Tokyo, Japan, designed by Starpilots. The concern about this project was that two-thirds of the site was under consideration for a new road-building plan. The clients ran a funeral home within the space, and wanted to maintain the business within the building. Therefore, the architects placed a dividing line within the design in advance to cut off the building, in case the city road-building plan was to be implemented.
