Cafe Kikuyoshi is a minimalist space located in Iwate, Japan, designed by Brezza Architects. The surrounding sites near the cafe were either demolished or damaged by the tsunami, thus an abundant use of greenery and plants were utilized around the area in order to symbolize growth and rebuilding. The entrance is inverted into the building, creating an alcove of sorts, and is constructed of wood, which contrasts against the galvanized metal facade.
