Green Street Renovation is a minimal interior located in San Francisco, California, designed by Michael Hennessey Architecture. Visual simplicity and clarity is the goal to the full renovation of this single residential unit within a high-rise tower. Careful consideration was given to the placement of a minimal kitchen and master bathroom “core”, leaving the rest of the unit open and unencumbered. Expansive glass panes open the living space to the San Francisco Bay and Alcatraz. The view is bracketed by floor-to-ceiling cabinetry on either side an an Italian porcelain tile floor surface. A series of technical constraints such as acoustic isolation and A/V considerations bring a layer of sophistication to the detailing of the project.
