Mushroom House is a minimalist home located in Osaka, Japan, designed by SPACESPACE. The project is for a couple who live busy lives. The architects utilized an affordable ink mortar as opposed to plaster in order to maintain a consistent aesthetic with the rest of the neighborhood. A utility power line cuts through the center of the road boundary, creating a divide along the building into two parts. Large glazings face the west in order to capture the view of the sunrise and mountains.
