Blue Hermitage is a minimalist house located in Kagoshima, Japan, designed by Matsuyama Architect & Associates. The home is characterized by a gabled roof surrounded by a concrete wall that provides both an aesthetic feature to the residence, as well as privacy. In addition, a series of slits are placed outside the glazings to provide a barrier between pedestrians and residents.
