Ethel Street Warehouses is a minimalist space located in Auckland, New Zealand designed by Fearon Hay Architects. Three warehouse structures have been re-purposed as character offices in Morningside, not far from a rail line in Auckland’s city fringe. The forecourt of the buildings has been cleared of auxiliary structures to reveal the three gabled ends. A new language of glazing, retained concrete wall portions and sliding shed doors presents the warehouse interior volumes to the street. The apron is minimally landscaped to provide parking and pedestrian access to the new tenancies.
