Floating House in Ogasa is a minimalist residence located in Shizuoka, Japan, designed by Shuhei Goto Architects. The building is situated on the countryside, and constructed of steel and wood with a prominent gabled roof. A Japanese-styled space on the ground floor is slightly elevated to provide a distinct separation between itself and the rest of the programs, while also providing additional storage underneath. Small strips of rectangular windows outline the top of the walls near the ceiling to provide natural lighting into the kitchen and dining area.
