Healing Salon Forest is a minimalist building located in Gifu, Japan, designed by Airhouse. The project is a salon renovation focused on light and healing. An open two story space was created with the skylight as the emphasis throughout the programs. In addition, a single tree sits beneath the skylight to bring together the space. Since the building is located on a corner site, provisions were made to ensure privacy was maintained. Windows were strategically placed to maximize natural lighting.
