House 1.5 is a minimalist residence located in Shiga, Japan, designed by L.D.HOMES. Situated on a corner lot, a terrace balcony is located between the ground and upper level. This “1.5” placement ensures that the deck has sufficient privacy without compromise to natural light. The placement of this terrace also allowed the architects to expand the interior programs.
