U House is a minimalist house designed by Tokyo-based designer Tadashi Suga Architects. The house consists of a parent and child, two households, and a guest room. The site is in the city’s old uptown, about five minutes from the main station. The residence is characterized by an elongated site, with the upper level completely exposed through a series of floor-to-ceiling glazings. The ground floor, however, is walled off completely from pedestrian view.
