House with Courtyard Terrace is a minimalist residence located in Hyogo, Japan, designed by L.D.HOMES. The building faces a main road, and is built slightly away from the street in order to provide parking for the residents. The clients wanted a professional kitchen with abundant storage. As a result, the kitchen space expands toward the terrace and includes a floating island as well. The courtyard transitions into steel grate flooring and is completely opened up to allow for natural light to enter the interiors.
