House in Double Bay is a minimalist residence located in Sydney, Australia, designed by Tribe Studio Architects. On a leafy street in eastern Sydney’s Double Bay, this house presents quite the poker face. It is a mute black rectangular prism raising elongated quizzical eyebrows over vertical windows. The deep window reveals are tiled in white, twinkling as the filtered sun hits them through the treed surroundings. Its proportions and composition nod to the Victorian character of the street without any of the attendant frou frou. The interior, on the other hand, is soft and warm. Entered through a cheeky pink front door, the house opens up into a sun drenched double height void and frames a lush green back garden.
