House in Asaka is a minimalist residence located in Saitama, Japan, designed by Aso Toshihiro. Situated within a quiet residential neighborhood 10 minutes away from the nearest train station, the building is set up as a parallelogram, slightly offset from the plot. This allowed the structure to avoid facing the exterior walls and windows of neighboring buildings. The two triangular open spaces on the site give the surrounding environment room to let through light and let the wind flow. The rooms were arranged from a closed room to an open room in stages without a corridor from the road side to the backyard side. The windows, doors, and frames were not rectangular in shape, but rather arched, which deviates from everyday scenery and distribution standards.
