House in Shirahama-cho is a minimal residence located in Wakayama, Japan, designed by Kishimoto Himeno. The architects wanted to maintain as much of the original structure as possible while undergoing the renovation. The open floor plan allows the residents to commune freely while also enjoying the beautiful views of ocean. The various programs are separated via a series of split levels. Large glass windows and skylights provide abundant natural lighting into the space.
