Kowa Apartment Complex is a series of minimalist apartments located in Aichi, Japan, designed by Studio Velocity. The complex consists of 10 buildings, among which three were completely dismantled and rebuilt. Large eaves were used to provide shade and privacy, while also providing the complex with its signature appearance. The architects wanted to create spaces and programs that would encourage interaction and communication.
