Kunsthaus Göttingen is a minimal architecture project located in Göttingen, Germany, designed by Atelier ST. As a closed, layered building, the clearly structured structure, with its horizontal plaster structure, is reminiscent of a stack of books or layered papers. Its external appearance transforms typical regional details and geometries from the context of Göttingen’s old town development into an independent museum architecture. The new exhibition building blends in and still clearly marks itself as a house of art in the small-scale urban space. The flexibly usable foyer area on the ground floor is designed as a link between the public street space and the green inner courtyard of the new art quarter. A column-free solid structure allows a high degree of flexibility in the arrangement of various exhibition concepts across all floors.
