Marumoto Inn Bath Hut is a minimalist space located in Gunma, Japan, designed by Kubo Tsushima Architects. Marumoto Inns is a long-established inn that is situated near Sawatari hot springs. The building has a simple gable shaped roof with a curved slab that separates the first floor bathroom and the second floor after-bath treatment. Skylights are placed in a row to provide natural light to patrons looking to relax on the benches. On the second level, the curved slab serves as a large backrest – allowing customers to comfortable relax while overlooking to the cityscape.
